This Year's Tournament: A Doubleheader?

Somebody on the Weber site posted the remaining schedules for the contenders to host the men's tournament (below). Based on this, my money is on Montana. With the Montana women holding a game-and-a-half lead in the standings as well, I can see a Big Sky Tournament doubleheader in Missoula in a couple of weeks. Get your hotel rooms early!

If past is prologue that means the conference will once again start the women's tournament a day earlier. Like the last time this happened ISU would be coming off a road trip and have one less day to prepare for whomever should they make it.

For what it's worth, I spoke to some of the Montana State folks before the game Saturday and they think Eastern is going to be hosting the women's portion of the tournament.

If Montana protects home court against EWU, you have to like the Griz' chances to host.

If UM beats Eastern it's basically over, very little if any, chance for Eastern.

It would literally be over, in fact. If the Lady Griz beat EWU (regardless of whatever else happens), they clinch at least a tie and would win any possible tiebreaker.
