Thoughts about next seasons roster

With the talent of the young players on the team I am excited about the future of the team. If Parker Kelly, Tyler Harvey, and Garrett Moon are still walkon's and Sir Washington is the only signing at this time, it appears the team will have 4 scholarships still available. Will some or all of the walk ons be offered scholarships next year? Chris Sarbaugh 6-3 Fr. point guard from NIC junior college has been offered a scholarship for next year as well as 6-6 Senior in High School Wing Corey Langerveld from Pullman WA. Any other news regarding recruits for next year.

PG: Daniel Hill 5-9 So.
SG: Tyler Harvery 6-4 So. (walk on); Sir Washington 6-3 Fr; Ivan Dorsey 6-0 Sr.
W: Danny Powell 6-6 Fr; Parker Kelly 6-4 Jr. (walk on); Garrett Moon 6-5 Jr. (walk on)
F: Venky Jois 6-7 So; Thomas Reuter 6-6 So.
F/C: Martin Sieferth 6-10 Jr; Frederik Jorg 7-1 So.

Yes it does look like we have the neucelous of a good team. The last few games I have really been impressed with Sieferth, he is really becoming a monster inside. If they get the ball to him I think he will become a force to be reckoned with and 15 blocked shots is becoming average for him.
I am hoping the coaching staff can mold this team into the best they can be.

The players on this team care about each other you can see that when they play together. The more games these players play together the better they will become. When these players win the Big Sky championship in the next few years the memories and experiences with this years senior players will be a big reason for their success.Another reason for the teams future success is having fans like everyone who posts and reads this message board. In order for a team to achieve success it has to have community support its that simple.

While I was disappointed in this years final record I remain hopeful for next year and beyond. This next season will be a good indicator of the future of the program. Coach inherited a good team that was loaded with experience and would have gone farther had he been able to keep the Dean kid. This year was overwhelmingly his guys and we heard the "young team" excuse all season in the worst league in years. So coach gets the benefit of the doubt and will hopefully be able to get to the tournament with his guys. A programs third year I think is a strong indication so let's hope he gets some talent around the strong nucleus of Seiferth, Jois and Harvey. The football team seems to thrive and always be in the top couple of teams in conference so it is reasonable to expect it of basketball. I am still a believer but need better proof than what was demonstrated this year.

Until next year I will be following football. Baldwin has done an unbelievable job and I will be purchasing season tickets for the family for the first time ever. I love what is happening at Eastern between football and the girls team. Everyone is winning, almost anyway.
