Thoughts on the Game

We won the game. Although there were a lot of breakdowns and Portland State exploited some of our weaknesses we came out on top. Good teams find a way to win and we were able to do that. We still have a lot of work to do if we want to repeat as big sky champions and make a run in the playoffs. But in the end the team grew up and the players were able to overcome a number of adverse situations. In the game of football I believe that overcoming adversity is one of, if not the most, important qualities a team can show. Congrats to the team and let's all make it out to next weekends game against the Pussycats.

I agree, but we had some pretty lucky breaks in the game...PSU made some big mistakes that helped us out in the game. Either way, we win, and move on............. 3rd down conversions big stat with them 3 for 11 and we were 9 for 16, not bad.

Follow the link to a nice article from the Oregonian. Includes post-game comments from Toone, Higgins, and a great slide show of game photos.

The D definitely needs to put more pressure on the QB. Herrick, Selle, Wagoner, and the Eastern dude (I just forgot who he is), will eat the Cats alive if given time.
