The obvious: if your not Montana or Montana State your are pretty much hosed for the schedule!
Shocked then that we got the game versus Weber as the only Stand-Alone.

Find it difficult to understand how they leave out the Portland State Game versus EWU "Dam CUP" rivalry weekend game is beyond me...put it on a Friday like they did this past year.

Idaho State gets nothing. Can't make excuses for Idaho State"not being in Root Sports broadcasting area" as they definitely get Root.. Ouch

Not surprised, as an MSU homer, that MSU an UM got the bigger share of broadcasts, but ,like you, am surprised you didn't get the Dam Cup as well. Also surprised no ISU. :? No Cal Poly?

I think last year someone said something about most of California not getting Root Sports (Dopa?). However, there is no excuse for no Idaho State.

I would love for one or both of those two teams (MSU/UM) to just blow chunks all year and people turn the channel on them...maybe then viewership will be so bad they will think twice about putting those schools on so much!

I think much of the fact that the Montana teams get so many games has to do with eyeballs. I just left egriz where over 180 people were on and there were only 3 of us here. You guys have good teams, but need more butts in the seats. That goes for some of the other teams; Cal Poly has been good but nobody shows up to watch them. I wish all the Big Sky games were on TV, but so it goes.

Nice to have 3 games on the schedule. I don't think Root broadcasts in Cali which is why they don't have any cali home games on the schedule.

As far as Montana and MSU getting all the games, its a given. Until we have more fans, more TV's tuned into the game, then it will never change. UM and MSU have more fans...by a mile...than we do, because of that Root will take them every time.

Its 5 times easier to find a Griz game on TV in Spokane on saturdays in the fall than an Eags game...

Cali gets Fox Sports California on their main cable outlets. Root is only on their premium platforms, much like the FSN networks in the NW.

I suspect a lot of the Dam Cup issues were caused by us playing at home against Portland State. Root had made a decent effort to promise Portland State, but my understanding was the ratings for PSU were only about 25% of what they got for Eastern or Montana State.

My guess is if the most exciting player in FCS were still on the team that we might have gotten another game like we had last year.

I just wish all 3 games were road games so I could see the Eags play almost every Saturday instead of just home games at Roos.
