Three New Walk Ons

David Patten's little brother, Eric, will walk on for WSU this year 6'6". Also Caleb Leonhardt from Davis 6'4", and Alan Lang from Judge Memorial 6'7"

All look to be skilled enough to have scholarships at some other places. Good to see them still chasing the dream and going to school. It's hard to be a walk on. They work as hard as anyone else on the team, pay their own way, and get little recognition from the public. They do, however, get great respect from all of their team mates and coaches. They certainly have my respect. Welcome to WSU.

Eric Patten wasn't too bad of a player at Cuyamaca College (the link shows last years stats): http://cuyamacacoyotes.com/sports/mbkb/2016-17/bios/patten_eric_qhls?view=gamelog&pos=sh.
17 and 8 isn't too bad...however, yes, I know, competition tells us a lot.

Here is a video of his high school senior year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTr2BS9lY0I, graduated in 14.

As a FR he ended up being a 2nd team all Pacific Coast Athletic Conference player. If he stays at Cuyamaca he probably gets some DI looks. Might end up being a diamond in the rough. However, he mostly played the 4. Has the ability to play the 3, but might be a bit too slow for that position and a bit too small for the 4.

Alan Lang as a senior averaged 11 and 7.

Caleb Leonhardt is a 6-4 player who mostly played in the middle. He was a big in high school. Good local kid, who can stretch the defense.
