Top FCS QB's

Jake Maier is a good QB, no doubt. But the best in FCS? Not too sure about that.

I hated it when people said this when we lost receivers, but it will be interesting to see how he does without Doss.

But it's always fair to speculate how good a given QB will be when his top guns at receiver move on. Gage Gubrud was off the chain in 2016, and although he was still damn good in 2017, there was a clear step backward when Kupp, Bourne, and Shaq Hill graduated. Granted, the dropoff in receivers at Eastern from 2016 to 2017 was a big one.

Jake Maier is over rated this season. Doss made him look great just Kupp, Bourne, and Hill made Gage and Vernon look good. This will a major breakout season for Eric and our younger receivers. Let's do it EAGS!! :notworthy

Athlon. Looks like Eastern will have it's hands full at Jax St. Fully expect EB3 to have a GREAT season.

This article is one opinion from months ago, have you looked at his stats after two games?
He has scrambled 5 times for - 30 yards
He is 48 of 75 for completion % of 64 passing. Total yards of 532 37yd long.
The team lost to Cal and barely beat San Diego who Cal Poly beat by 18.
So his stats are OK, not through the roof, just OK

We don't face Maier so not too concerned with his stats. Athlon missed on this one. This is the guy I'm worried about this week:

Cooper: 77% completions, 4 TD's, ~800 yds passing. That's pretty efficient

EB3- 165.9 QB rating, 733 yds passing 37 rushing, 9 yards per comp.
tit for tat at this point, both QB's have a lot of potential and are dangerous.

Was actually a bit superstitious to mention EB3's stats. Cooper and EB3 have eerily similar numbers. We all knew he was going to play well this year and hasn't disappointed. Looking forward to seeing the WR position group step up this week and put it too Jax St. I don't hold out much hope for the running game but want to be surprised to the upside. Either way, it's BAND DAY, so stoked for all those young people.
