tough game into a laugher

Big (Sky) domination; ISU women hammer preseason favorite Portland State.

Against the conference’s preseason number one team, ISU never trailed and the only two ties came during the first half.

The Bengals (13-5, 5-0 Big Sky)

In front of a crowd of 1,470 rowdy fans, Idaho State continued scoring and making stops. The lead got to as many as 25 points and the Bengals turned what was supposed to be a tough game into a laugher.

These sentences haven't been uttered about a ISU football or Basketball team unless it was a about ISU getting hammered by the home team.

Congrats women. Great game great season piss poor attendance but you still play your game win or lose it's the best game in town..

What to back a team that has heart, and is 5-0 ( haven't heard that in a long time from a men's team) in league play attend a womens game. Sure they will probably lose a few more but they need the support to get them though to the end.

I was there! Were you ?

They women will gain fans if they keep winning, but 1500 fans for Big Sky women's basketball is really good. They had a great turnout last night and probably an extra 300 or 400 fans compared to normal. If they keep it going this season look for 2000+ maybe in the near future.

Actually alomst 15 hundred fans is great for any Big Sky women's basketball game not named Montana or Montana State. ISU was 3rd in the conference in average women's attendence last year and as of today are 3rd again.

It could be a lot worse. Say Northern Arizona worse...they are averaging 215 fans per home game. That's not a misprint.
