Tournament

I doubt the perfect storm will hit tonight. So, who do you want to see on Thursday?
Currently, there could be five possible teams Weber could face: EWU, NAU, SUU, MSU, or SAC St.
I doubt EWU will make it to the tournament (that would mean Weber loses tonight). There are many possibilities, but do any of these teams give Weber fits? I would think Weber could beat any of them, but any of them could beat Weber if they don't show up and play hard.
Who will be the 7th seed?
Who do you want Weber to play on Thursday?

I would prefer not to see MSU, they have given us fits this year. NAU on a neutral floor would be a good matchup. I think we can handle SUU like during regular season. UNC has been peaking at the end of season, seems like maybe they are the most scary at this time. EWU will not be in the equation after Weber wins tonight.

Of course, I am still praying for a miraculous convergence tonight: Weber wins, MT and MSU lose on their home floor----and we all gather in Ogden for the tourney. As fans, we all have to have hope---and say our prayers!

this is the only year i have ever been able to say this honestly, i really do not care who we play in the first rd. from und on down to 7th makes no difference to me. normally there is one or 2 teams i would rather avoid.

now that msu has clinched they could lock in the 5 spot by beating sac. there is a good chance 7th place will have one less win than msu so i wonder if 2nd place will play suu.

between sac, nau, suu who ever doesn't win today could be screwed. suu is really bad lately and i dont see them winning at und on senior night. nau swept sac so sac is out if they lose at msu and its down to nau/sac for 7th.

is there a preference to play suu, nau, sac? (assuming the perfect storm does not take place)

1-griz
2-weber
3-und
4. unc
5. msu
6.
7.

i cant predict road wins, too hard to guess. but msu/sac game is at 2:30 today.

MSU, they play lights out against us every time, and it seems like we are the only team they get up to play.

i think if all home teams win today that this would be the final order:

1. griz 19-1
2. weber 18-2
3. und 12-8
4 or 5. unc 10-10, msu 10-10 - not sure who gets 4th
6. suu 8-12 - swept nau
7. nau 8-12 - swept sac

-sac 8-12 - not cool
-ewu 7-13
-psu 5-15
-isu 5-15 - beats psu tonight
-isu

PS does suu for sure get in over sac. this is confusing and as an fyi i took 1010 and 1050 math at wsu twice each. :wall:

SUU at North Dakota, 1:00 pm
Sac Stat at Montana State, 2:30 pm
EWU at Weber State, 7:00 pm
NAU at Montana, 7:00 pm
Portland State at Idaho State, 7:00 pm

Who is in? Who is out?
Montana and Weber : 1st or 2nd
North Dakota owns 3rd place
Northern Colorado will either be the 4 or 5 seed
Sacramento State can finish as high as 5th but can still get eliminated
Northern Arizona can finish as high as 5th but can still get eliminated
Southern Utah can finish as high as 6th but can still get eliminated
Eastern Washington can only get 7th by beating WSU plus get help

Point differential against BSC teams this season:
UND: +47
UNC: +46
PSU: +32
ISU: +32
SUU: +24
SAC: +24
UM: +22
EWU: +21 (tonight's game left)
NAU: +15
MSU: +3

So I guess we wouldn't mind avoiding NAU and MSU...and matchups in the quarters and semis against UNC and UND would be ideal.
