I came across this article on the online version of the Bee about athletes in the Transfer Portal and I can totally relate to some of it. We're one of the families "in limbo" while waiting for the NCAA to make a decision on our son's transfer waiver. Because of no decision yet, he hasn't been able to get into fall camp to compete. If nothing is decided this week, he can join the team and start practicing with them on Monday, August 26...the day classes begin. Apparently the NCAA has up until the day before the first game to decide if he'll be allowed to see the field or not this year. He's been kicking on his own but really needs to get to team practice ASAP. This has just been a frustrating process...he's worked hard to get to Sac State and there's this last hurdle to overcome.
