Haven't really seen this discussed on here, but tomorrow the FCS playoff committee is going to reveal its Top 10 rankings during halftime of the Toledo vs. Ball State game on ESPN2.

Any guesses on where EWU will be?

I'm guessing 7.

Craig Haley tweeted his list this morning and had us at 10. Also, the latest STATS bracketology has us playing a first round game.

I'll go with 7 or 8. Ultimately, winning out will result in a high seed. A single loss will knock us back to round one.

I guess he has us losing to UC Davis. If we win out we’re not playing a first round game.

Of course, we still need to win two games before this even becomes a discussion.

The ONLY reason I can think Weber is ahead of us is their close win over the Eagles, merit yes, but their loss to Utah is not as good as our loss to #10 WSU and their loss to NAU is not nearly as good as our loss to Weber and we beat the NAU on the same field they lost on. I still think our full body of work is better than Webers but head to head competition is tough to argue against. All of that will not matter 10 days from now as our game against UCD will stir the Big Sky pot. Webers last game @ ISU could be a real battle and there is hope for Eastern that they could lose.
Ya gotta LOVE college football!!

The NCAA has always said head-to-head is the first determine factor. And Weber beat us, so to the victor goes the spoils. Still, our strength of schedule looks a little better with each passing week.

I feel like playing in Ogden for the quarterfinals would be a blessing. Weber got our worst offensive showing in a decade and we were still right there with a chance to win at the end of the game. If we could take that as a mulligan, I think we improve a lot in a second game.

The only thing that really matters is winning the games left on the schedule. We need two wins to make the playoffs, while three wins cements a conference title. We control our own destiny, and that's all you can hope for at this point in the season.
