Next up, UC-Irvine stands in the way of the Viks and 9-0. This will be the last non-conference game before the Big Sky action starts. The Anteaters, from Irvine, CA and the Big West conference, lost their first game of the season in their last outing to San Diego State at home, 78-70. They do play Portland today before playing us on Tuesday, 12-18. This is their trip through the state as they will then face Oregon on Friday. They are 7-1 and have a home win over Southern Utah, 75-58. They do have some Pacific Northwest connections as senior guard Andee Ritter is from South Medford High School, and Joy Akaegbu-Cleveland played at Spokane's Gonzaga Prep. Game on Tuesday at the Pavilion at 7pm.
