Okay all, what do you think about the Anteaters? Personally, I really don't know what to think of Irvine. Yes, they had a really great game against UCLA, and in all likelihood, probably, should have beaten the Bruins. Yet, they haven't been consistent. Collin Woods wasn't on their roster, so I'm guessing he decided to transfer after the season.

One thing about Irvine that might play into Weber's hands, more so this year, than last year, is the fact that Irvine runs a chaotic offense. They like to run, but don't have the greatest shooting percentage on earth. Nice thing about Weber is that we are deep, can run with anyone, and can slow down opposing teams on the defensive end due to our speed and size. Also, if they don't have good bigs, the game will get out of hand quick. One thing about USU and SJSU was that our bigs were a bit our of sync, and both programs have decent bigs (to bad USU doesn't have Harris with Shaw...hmmm they'd be scary good). Not that Weber's bigs couldn't compete, they can, the team just wasn't in sync yet. Now that are bigs are starting to get into sync, I still believe they have a ways to go, but YIKES, once they get there for opposing teams. Kyle is playing like a man possessed, which we knew he would. He is healthy, light, and really getting after it on the boards. Like his hussle. James, Mook, and Bolomboy are also having really nice season's so far. Add Fulton to the mix, Weber is extremely dangerous.

I'm wary of tomorrow's game, but I feel that Weber can pull off the W.

Definitely won't be an easy one, it was a dog fight last year, lets hope this year we can take care of business at home and get to 4-2 and get ready to take on BYU.

GO WILDCATS

Tal, Collin Woods is redshirting this year

Interesting. Was it his call? He had it available. Did he get injured? I was looking forward to watching him play. Will he be making the trip? By the way...Heyoh, are you coming up for the BYU game? We need willing people to paint up  , since the student body has decided not to support the team or university.

Seems to me the students rarely get into the season until after the new year. I'm sure once Spring semester and the conference schedule starts we will see a larger crowd in the student section. Or at least I hope.

This is going to be a fun game. It will be my first home game this year. I went to the Utah State but that has been it. I am bringing a friend.

Can anybody help me out? I registered and followed all the steps as instructed but I am totally clueless how to access the game. HELP!!!

Sorry BeefEater, hope you figured it out, if you didn't well it wasn't the most pretty game that I have watched in the Dee. I am just glad WSU made some free throws at the end to put you guys away. I like your team, they played us tough, and jump those passing lanes well, very disruptive. Good luck the rest of the year.

UC Irvine played well, they have a gritty defense and a lot of talent offensively, I can see why they took UCLA to the wire.

I can't wait to see the day when Berry goes off, I don't know why he is in a free-throw funk, but I know he will get over it, Tresnak is clutch, the guy is playing great right now, and so is Mook, Our inside game won this game, our guards had a hard time getting anything going, but that is a lot in part to Irvine's defense.

Tell you what though, if this game was on the road this one would have been very tough to win, we can't miss free throws like this in clutch conf road games, or against BYU next weekend and expect to win, we missed 14 free throws, we are lucky UCI only shot 34%, and shot even worse than we did at the stripe. 60% to 52%.

A win is a win though and now we need to get ready for YBU, glad we don't have to put up with YBU's refs in this one........at least I hope not.

Good win and go Wildcats

I may sound like a broken record, but depth won us this game, just like it did in the Dayton game. When Tres got in foul trouble, and later James, we had guys filling in that didn't drop our level of play. That is huge in winning these hard fought games. In a game where the competition put an emphasis on our outside game, we were counting on our inside game to carry us, and they did, even with foul trouble throughout the game. In years past, we would have lost this game.

I think we will see a breakout game from Berry in the near future. He is too good for this little slump to last long. This team isn't relying on one or two players to score. I expect that six or seven players could be leading scorers at some point this season. It just makes it that much harder for teams to prepare for us.

I know that it is not the most beautifull part of the game, but I love the hard nosed, presure defense we are playing. That is what will win championships.
