UC Riverside

The christening of the new Pavilion for the men's team will take place Saturday at 7pm against UC Riverside. The Highlanders from Riverside, CA (obviously) and members of the Big West conference, come in with a record of 0-1 having lost to the Beavers, 72-59. After this game they will continue on the road, playing at UNLV on Tuesday so this is a game they feel they have the best shot at winning in this mini road trip.

This will be a good test for both teams.

Too early to tell if Riverside is one of the worst. They stayed with the Beavers throughout their game in Corvallis. I for one didn't think it was going to be easy.

I'm more concerned with Mayhew. We were 3-18 for the game from 3-point land. We certainly could use him.

Ok, two straight games with horrible shooting. We should have had chalupas last night, yet only 71 points.

Hoping it comes around. Last season seemed like if we struggled from the free throw line, often we'd make it up shooting from the field. Yesterday's shooting was awful from all aspects. The other tangibles from the game were quite good.

Was hoping for a bigger crowd last night, but oh well. I really like our new house.
