Hey folks, with Georgia just pulling off an incredible SEC tourney win (they won as many games in the tourney as they won during the entire conference season), PSU likely slides down one slot. Although UGA's RPI is worse than PSU's, there is no way the Committee gave them a worse seed unfortunately.

Why would Georgia cause PSU to slide down a slot?

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Virtually every team a #13 seed and down is an automatic bid from a proverbial "lesser conference". Georgia being a #14 shows just how bad their conference record is, but that cannot possibly cause teams to move down.

After years of observation, it seems to me that the tournament seedings are built from the bottom up... AND the top down. The middle is resolved last.
