I think that ISU should be able to beat Idaho by at least a few touchdowns this weekend. I do think that the things that the Idaho fans say about their team are true -- their QB's aren't very good and they don't play with a lot of enthusiasm. Too bad they have to pay Petrino $440,000 a year for three more years! Could be a sellout this weekend; even though Idaho's already sold their allotment of tickets they'll still try to buy seats in other sections. Real impressed with the fact that we had over 9100 fans on hand for the NAU game.
 
I'm hoping for a sell out, but thinking around 11,000. Smitty on the Facebook fan page said student seating is already spilling over to the north side. Looking at the seating map on the ticket site, most of the south side seats are gone. The end sections A and L still have a lot of seats, the rest of the available sections have low to medium availability.

With their offensive worse and our offensive sputtering I see a low scoring game, 27-21 ISU TAKING THE W!

It will come down to special teams.
 
Never underestimate the Vandals. I see the game as a toss up. ISU has the best offense, because they have the best quarterback. Idaho sticks with the coaches son who in my opinion should not be a D1 quarterback.
 
Vandal fans made it clear that they were too high and mighty to move down to the Big Sky Conference. They were the most condescending, reluctant group of people to have been welcomed into a conference that geographically fit their needs. This game should put them in their place though. I can't wait!

The whole conference will be tuning into this game - go get 'em!
 
ISU's student newspaper, The Bengal, is reporting 8,200 tickets have been sold already (not including the 2,000 tickets set aside for students)...

These are the ‘problems’ we’ve all been LONGING for.. I pay$18/ticket. Shoot, the product we trot out, I’d pay $40.. Holt Arena doesn’t have a bad seat. I will always love the dome. So stoked to hear the roar of the massive crowd, as it gets very loud when there’s over 10K.
 
They call that a bet? How about something like, "If we win, the Ag Expo and UI Potato Conference has to be scheduled AFTER basketball season?" :lol:

hey Bengal fans,

just wanted to share a friendly hello from north Idaho. I've never been to holt arena for a college game, but watched some good ol 8 man football state titles there when prairie played Oakley and Valley. I toured ISU's campus along with EWU and UM when I was getting ready to go to physical therapy school and ultimately went to EWU after going to UI for undergrad. I was impressed with ISU and UM's campus as well... very pretty, very good people.

Hoping for a competitive game, but likely you'll see an unprepared UI team that is BORING to watch. Idaho will hang around for 1.5 quarters and score some garbage td's...Final score is 38-24 bengals.

Idaho fans aren't really bitter with the big sky....more so the situation. Idaho moved up, but didn't do their homework, didn't fund raise, didn't expand, didn't pay coaches, couldn't recruit, etc. So the tone isn't that we hate the big sky, it's "we supposedly outgrew this conference 20 years ago....Now were dropping down and getting our asses kicked...what do you have to say about that UI athletic department?"

Welcome kjvandal and I hope you have a good experience this weekend. It will be packed from fans on both sides. No game is ever a gimme for any team. It's all on who shows up to play that day and I for one would never count any team out. Regardless of what's going on in the program, I'm sure your players are hyped for this game even if it's for their own pride. I know it's the situation that sucks for you guys moving down, but for the Big Sky it's a huge positive. UofI will be back on it's feet again and I have no doubt you guys will become a powerhouse once again.

ISU defense this year is better than most people know and their confidence level is off the charts. They know they can shut down anybody. They just need to watch out for garbage trick plays resulting in big gains. With our 2 backs and Tanner running the ball with authority like he has this game belongs to ISU.
