So, fairly big game for Thursday night. Cats lost by 2 in Missoula. Will this be another close game?
First, attendance was 5,300 and change. The Dee holds 11,000 and the cheaper seats were way more full than the seats down low. Appearances can be deceiving. Secondly, there were a lot of WTF calls in that game and most favored Travis's spitting in the refs ears all night long. More whine than at a vineyard. He chased the refs out to the center circle at least twice. How he doesn't get thrown out of games more often, I'll never know. As far as TD having Weber's guys, it would never happen, he's too big of a..., fill in the blank to actually get any of our guys. :rofl:Mousegriz said:Congrats to Weber on the nice win. Fun game to watch and hard fought all the way. Griz won't back down but truly lacked size at every position. Bassett Jones and McEwen stand out. I'm no big fan of Rahe and watched last night and ask....What if Decuire had Weber's guys and Rahe had Montana's? Transfers must like only having to play for him for a year or two.
Reffing favored Weber down the stretch but didn't determine the game, Weber hit two clutch 3's and made FT's down the stretch. Griz didn't convert a few times when they had to. When McEwen goes pro next year he'll have to take a couple touches going to the basket! Rahe sure likes to whine when and if Weber has calls go against them!
Weber crowd????? 10 -1 in league and riding a 7 game winning streak at home against the other top program in the conference...did attendance crack 2,000?

Lastly, Travis does have his guys playing D at a high level and last night your shots were falling as well. I've watched several UM games this year and that is the best offense I have seen the Grizz put on the floor against good competition. I really like two or three of your quick little guards. Good luck in your remaining regular season games. :thumb:
I don't know Travis personally, as you do. I just know from what I have seen and what family members of some of your former players have said to me when they attended games at WSU. I would just say this; sometimes the player's personality fits with the coach and sometimes it doesn't. Travis seems to have a group of guys who fit him right now and that is good for his program. He has his kids playing some nasty D. When they are hitting those last second shots, they are hard to beat. When you can run the shot clock down to 2 seconds and still score, you are TD type of guy.Mousegriz said:oldrunner said:First, attendance was 5,300 and change. We fans are funny . I try to be impartial...but then throw out a few calls I see that don't favor my team and say WTF! You see "most favoring spitting Travis"! I watch Rahe whine on damn near every call against his team. You watch Travis........So the refs must have done OK.
As to the coach thing....do you know Decuire? Pretty well respected by his players, his community and I think by his peers. Loyal to the school he played for and has a pretty good record of recruiting 4 or 5 year HS kids that usually stay if they are good enough to play. A couple odd off the court issues in the past few years but overall pretty respected program that he's proud of.
I don't know Rahe so will stick to calling him short rather than a big asshole! Do notice that Overton, McEwen, Bassett all fell in love Weber enough to play there for one year. The other two seniors not so much.....
Awesome crowd! Good seats must be pricey!
