OK, I was just going to sigh and turn the computer off, after all the Wildcats did come out with a win. But, I must comment......
If I was MSU athletic dept., I would be so ashamed of the webcast of tonight's game. If you did not view it, here is what I observed:
1. The announcers came close to having the Conference reprimand/boot them from the air - (see Sac State announcer removal a year or two ago). Announce the game, don't second guess every call tat goes against your team, don't call every purported foul that the officials did not call on the visitor, don't go blind when your home team guys foul a Weber player etc.
2.Has the Director of this game ever watched a basketball broadcast? When a player is shooting free throws, you don't take a baseline camea shot without cutting back so the viewer can see if he made the shot! You don't run instant replays in the heat of the game, over and over. The rapid cuts between cameras loses any chance of following the action.
3. Please allocate a little $$ from the football program to buy newer cameras that will work in the lower light settings at Worthington and upgrade the Internet connection. I have not had so much buffering since using a dial up modem 15 years ago.
4. Figure out who is advertising and go back to game action when it starts after a time out.
I am happy the Wildcats got a road win, but it was hard to watch....
