UNC Game

Any guess on the score? I admit, out of all the teams in the BSC I know least about the Bears. But I do know that they are struggling a little. Looking at the Big Sky stats I'm going to say 49-14 with our offense putting up 500 yards of offense again.

Agreed on the offense. We should hang half a hundred and accumulate AT LEAST 500 yards in another balanced air/ground attack. But if they only scored 20 on DII Lindenwood, I am really hoping our defense skunks 'em, or at least limits Bear scoring to a field goal or two.

52-6.

I know the staff too well and anytime there is a large lead, they make every effort to get younger guys and hard-working special teams players on the field in large lead situations. So I figure they'll get some in the 3rd and 4th. If we could have a shutout at halftime the D has done their job.

I hate predicting for this game, the Bears have always given us fits, however I think this time Weber State gets the job done early. I think we pitch a shutout in the first half, but UNC scores a few in garbage time as we are playing our second and 3rd string players.

48-21 Weber State

I think you are spot on. WSU seems to overlook these guys every year, and barely scrapes by with a win, but I think this time they kick em when they are down. :tothehand:

I don't understand how UNC could of had sucha drop off this year. Last year's team was legitimately almost breaking through into the top 5. A little trigger-happy in firing Downing? This new guy shouldn't even get a chance at 3 years if they don't improve ANY by next year. As previously stated I know very little about this Bears team. How many starters were lost from last year's team? :dunce:

For starters, they benched Orms, why I have no idea. :wtf:

Wait they benched THIS guy?
1. Mike Hoke-WSU SO 10 23 - 36 - 0 63.9 345 2 80 162.7
2. Denarius McGhee-MSU FR 12 227 - 362 - 6 62.7 3163 23 77 153.8
3. Jeff Fleming-SAC JR 11 138 - 248 - 10 55.6 2044 23 80 147.4
4. Bo Mitchell-EWU JR 15 300 - 505 - 15 59.4 3496 37 82 135.8
5. Justin Roper-UM SR 11 171 - 278 - 11 61.5 1885 19 58 133.1
6. Dylan Orms-NC JR 10 133 - 254 - 9 52.4 2055 15 77 132.7
7. Michael Herrick-NAU SR 10 194 - 306 - 9 63.4 2061 15 51 130.3
8. Cameron Higgins-WSU SR 11 210 - 359 - 11 58.5 2512 15 65 124.9
9. Chase Stangel-NAU JR 9 45 - 74 - 0 60.8 376 2 24 112.4
10. Russel Hill-ISU SR 10 92 - 204 - 8 45.1 1194 8 42 99.4

That guy, who beat out Higgins in passing efficiency last season? He benched his SENIOR quarterback? :lame:

The only all-conference returner we had from last year was our receiver, Jace Davis but he's ineligible for grades. We lost some nice talent due to graduation but it's evident in the talent gap that Downing was that great of a recruiter (no returning all-conference players, besides Davis).

Beardown;

Having 'All Conference' players is more an indication of having a winning program than it is of having good players. Lower ranking teams usually get few individual awards, where as, winning teams usually get several such awards. The other consideration is that you can be a good recruiter and have a difficult time getting talent to commit to a losing program.

Hence, the momentum thing. It works in both directions. :wall:

If you get a good thing going, 'FAN' that flame. Maybe, you can get this boat turned around.

So can anyone tell me why UNC benched their QB from last year? Did he knock up the Coaches daughter or something?
Anyways, WSU wins big in this one and runs the ball right down UNC's throat

Maybe, but usually we have 2-3 All-Conference players that are returning and we've never won more than 3 games in a year. This year, no.

Im actually getting nervous about this game, for some reason in the back of my mind, i think this is gonna be another crazy WSU/UNC game.

Yeah I know, it sounds stupid, but Weber football has done stupid stuff before

like lose 6 fumbles to them last year
lose to Eastern at home in 2008
lose at home to MSU in 2009
fumbled a snap that would have given the victory to Weber over CSU :pissed:
Play Not to win vs Wyoming this year :pissed:

I could keep going but I think I proved my point

Anyway, If we play like we did on Saturday, we win this hands down. Come on Weber keep up the consistancy, and go get a victory tomorrow  . I DONT CARE IF EASTERN WASHINGTON IS NEXT WEEK, DO NOT OVERLOOK THE BEARS
