Well...the Cats are leaving the state for the first time in over a month. To me, due to the distance and weather, this is a tough road trip for the Cats. Tomorrow night they open the trip at the good old buttler-hancock pavilion on the campus of UNCO. I'm sure there will be a decent contingent of Weber State fans attending the game. The cubbies get fairly excited whenever Weber visits. Some feel we are their biggest rivals. Okay?? Sure... Anyway, so, Linder and Smiley have really turned the cubbies fortunes around. They are playing pretty good basketball, especially at home, and getting a W in Greeley tomorrow will be pretty tough. They shoot a lot of 3's (make about 33%), depend a lot on the play of their guard line of Jordan Davis JR, Andrew Spight RSR, and Anthony Johnson RSR driving and kicking the ball. On defense they play a decent man to man. They score around 78 a game and are giving up 71. Decent ball club. Last week they did lose to both Montana State and Montana, by 12 and 9 respectively.

UND...well, will write more later. But, they are definitely not where I thought they'd be at.

UNCO held a couple of high level players out last year when they were not eligible for post season play. Their guard line is as good as anyone's in the BSC. For us to get a win down there, we will need to defend their guards as well as we did in our last two games, and we will need to get maximum contributions from our big men.

One win this week would be good. Two wins would be great. Road wins will be hard to get this year. I know that there have been several already, but two of them were at UND and SUU. :coffee:

Grand Forks is in the middle of a blizzard now and they are anticipating minus 20 temps tonight. Rough travel conditions.

Ugh! I'll bet that there are more than just a few who are darn glad this is the last time for a conference game trip to Grand Forks!!! :twocents:

Good win. Excellent 2nd Half. Nelson was the player of the game, for me. He continues to improve and make big contributions.

Strangely though I hope Weber and North Dakota continue to play each other every so often I kinda like the mini rivalry that has developed between the 2 and I kind of want that to continue

That 2nd half. Lots of toughness and heart by the kids tonight.

Good win.

Fwiw no matter how many times i have to listen to the guy UNC's radio guy continues to be the biggest whiner ever. Why can't they leave so I wouldn't have to listen to that wanker anymore.

On to UND. They beat up on ISU tonight. There are no easy games and certainly not on the road in the BSC. Bring on those Fighting Kittyhawks.

Props to Chapman stepping up hitting clutch mid range jumpers at crutch time, his shot looked much better.

Was good to see Chapman make a few. If he can get 10-12 a night that will make a big difference. Now Weber just needs Kozack to find a way to score a few underneath. Great rebounder, but he struggles getting his shot off down low.

Wow what a lock down second half. We were able to wear them down inside and get trips to the line. Doc it's growing up quick. Is there a bigger homer commentary guy than Troy Coverdale? He was hard to listen to tonight.

Uh...a little shocked about last nights result. The second half was awesome. Shows us how deadly Weber can be. Scoring 49 points and hitting, only 2, 3's in the half. YIKES!!

Yeah, Troy is terrible. I do love listening to all of his conspiracy theories though.

On to UND.

Well, they sure showed up against the Bengals last night. Who knows what to expect from the Sioux.

WOW. Some of the worst officiating I've seen this year. No official in the USA wants to go to Grand Farts, so I guess that is what you will get there. :wall:

Ugh...there isn't a lot that can be said about this one. UND has our number right now. They totally shredded our defense. Granted, they did just have the best shooting night of their season today and Weber, even though we scored 79 and looked about as good as we did against ISU. We just aren't that great. If Randy wants to get this program to another level, he needs to get, at least, one assistant who can help him. Preferably an assistant who can develop bigs. Yes, I know coach will be excited by the split, yet, that UND team isn't very good.

Game ball? Kozak...kid played great tonight. Harding was good again, but not his best game. Love that Doc has really come on and is playing well. Another good one tonight.
