The Eagles enter the game 7-2 on the season and fell to sixth in The Sports Network NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Top 25 Poll after a 28-27 last-minute loss at Northern Arizona on Oct. 25. Eastern is 4-1 in the Big Sky Conference – currently one of six one-loss teams in the league -- as it defends the league title it won with an 8-0 record last season. Like the Eagles, the Lumberjacks played in the FCS Playoffs a year ago and were 9-3 overall and 7-1 in the league.

"We need to grow as a team and get better regardless of what our record is," said Baldwin, whose team has held a fourth-quarter lead in its two losses this season. "Even if we were 9-0 right now, we would continue to work hard and improve fundamentally throughout the year. We will continue to stay disciplined in the weight room and with the process of the season. That always bodes well for us as we head into November, and is the attitude we need to have to finish the season strong."

North Dakota is 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the league after falling 35-17 last Saturday at Southern Utah. Eastern is 2-0 all-time versus UND, including a 35-14 triumph last year in Grand Forks and a 55-17 Eagle win in Cheney in 2012.

I get pumped for every game.

I'm hoping to see our defense perform as good as I know they can, and for our passing game to improve so we can keep what figures to be a very good D off balance.

Me too. IMO this is kind of a "set up" game for the Eagles. Setting the table for next week vs the Griz. I know, I know, we can not afford to be looking ahead in fear of getting upset this week but the Eagles need to have a game with some flow and get into rhythm. I'd like to see another defensive performance like last week and the offense in rhythm and not making drive ending mistakes. Long methodical drives.
We've been trying to get the ball to play makers in space but we don't need to throw 30 yds down field to do that.

Totally pumped. Hoping JW is on his toes and stepping into it today firing bullets all over the field to this deadly receiving corps. Need them in rhythm for all upcoming contests. Should loosen up the UND defense and allow Forte, Brown and Wilson to keep it balanced. There will be 11 guys on D.

Cold as all get out in Georgia. Felt like early winter in Cheney here last night. 20+ mile an hour winds and high 30's. Go Eags!
