UND Game

An article on the Grand Forks Herald website said that UND has as many as six starters on defense out for the NAU game. Defense has already been the weak point of theirs. That bodes not well for the former Sioux. NAU should be able to put up points. But will NAU be able to slow down what has been a mostly prolific UND offense? The fact that UND is on a two game losing streak and it's homecoming could prove beneficial for UND as well.

On paper, it looks like NAU should win handily but I don't expect that to be the case. UND plays better at home and this one is close til the end. I feel superstitious about making actual score predictions.

Wow. Cue the midseason collapse? Without bauman we are looking really average. Grossart has too much pressure on him. Not sure what exactly the bauman injury is, but hoping it is nothing too serious. UND is not laying down and have momentum and the ball to start the second half. Hoping we can turn this around. :(

I have to say I'm really impressed with the mentality of these players. They were down again, but didn't lay down. It sounded like the crowd was loud, specially when they went up on us in the 3rd. Many teams would have given up, but NAU kept fighting    Good on them. Now they have a littl 5 game winning streak. Next week is homecoming, let's hope UCD isn't in a mood to spoil the party.

Davis is a tough team. They've played tough in their two conference loses, but also didn't look particular impressive against winless Idaho State this week. Let's hope we don't overlook them and get this win. It was pretty scary watching Zach Bauman go out with that injury. It's evident that he is our main weapon. With him gone, Dakota jumped all over us. Hopefully his injury is nothing serious, otherwise we're toast.

It was a good trip to North Dakota. NAU soccer, football, and volleyball visited UND and all came home with victories :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!! GO JACKS :D

Ya the game completely changed once bauman went out. We have not been great in homecoming games in the past but I feel like this years team is different.

and why isnt wilder kicking off? and why isnt the ball going out of the endzone EVERY time? christ

Grand Forks is pretty close to sea level. Flagstaff is 7,000 feet above. That affects distance traveled on kickoffs big time. I've noticed they're mixing in Hawkins more often on kickoffs than Wilder. Maybe they want to save his leg and give the other kicker some reps in case of injury?

Big difference in this aspect between this year's team and those of in the past. Even when things don't go well, this team never seems to quit. THat's on the players and the coaches both. Kudos.

UC Davis is a competitive team. Pretty good defense. Their offense didn't have a great start to the season but have put up ample points the last two weeks. The Aggies won't roll over and NAU has a recent history of screwing up on homecoming.
