I know that our focus @ weberhoops.com is basketball but I feel a burning desire to to feed the FOOTBALL fire today.
As I sit and ponder what challenges in life we get each day; some may want to say , "Why me?" I choose to say, "Why NOT me?"
What I hope to accomplish here is to get our Wildcat family to feel is a sense of unity and purpose.
Sure, today is is just another gridiron game in the whole schedule book of life. (or is is? IT IS ISU afterall! ) This season has been one of growth and humility for me, all you students, fans and true Wildcats. I choose to look at it this way. If we can't learn something new, exciting and really important each and every moment of each and every day, why are we here?
How we handle today will change the world tomorrow. What a responsibility AND MOST of ALL...honor! EMBRACE THAT!
I will not be able to make the trip To The Potato Bowl today. I have missed the last several games due to a new, significant life challenge. I will absolutely miss creating memories for all you awesome fans today but this arrangement will be temporary. This isn't about me but I want to let you know my heart and the heart of my camera will be in Pokey. I love the fans, the painty faces, the crazy student antics. I love it all! WE ARE WILDCAT FOOTBALL!
The ONE message I want to leave for the team is:
HAVE FUN! BE ONE! BE WILDCATS! TODAY, PLAY LIKE THE CHAMPIONS THAT YOU ARE!
