• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

UOP isn't keeping pace (with Sac)....

In what is surely going to be an emotional season (similar in that respect to UCD football), UOP isn't keeping up with the Hornets. The Tigers fell to 1-1 after losing to Fresneck 66-61. (That's on the heels of blowing out Oakland-Holy Names.) This is a Fresneck team that was coming off a 39-30 win at Riverside. (No, that's not a typo. BOTH teams failed to clear even 40.) That doesn't look good when your neighbors to the north are becoming giant slayers of Davidic proportions. Or when you're about to lose your legendary coach to (what seems like, anyway) a forced retirement on the way into a newer, much tougher league (yes, UOP is leaving the Big West for the West Coast Conference).

I know it's way early, but I have a feeling that the Hornets are going to make a TON of noise in the Big Sky this year, and nationally as well.

Get your stingers up!

I think youre right about this year. If you heard the halftime interview with John Dickson last night, you could really tell that this group truly like each other. Chemistry counts in basketball as it does in baseball. Just ask the SF Giants. UOP has got some help on the way next year in TJ Wallace and Raymond Bowles so we better enjoy this year while we can. GO HORNETS
