Upcoming Road Trip

With one win already in the bank, it'll be interesting to see how the ISU women do on the back half of the three game road swing.

The Northern Colorado game figures to be the most difficult one of the two by far. They've already lost two conference games by one point each...they are going to make the postseason tournament (with Sac. State, NAU and Weber State losing like they are, they'll be out of the mix in another 10 days or so) but if they still have any hope of hosting or even getting a first round bye, they simply can not lose anymore, especially at home.

I suspect they are going to play harder then they have at anytime this season on Thursday.

Saturday's Game against Weber State shouldn't be difficult but you never know. ISU should have blown them out last year but simply couldn't put a good stretch together for even five minutes and lost to a bad team. Weber does have some talent, Patterson, Woodfield and Hughes would be welcome on most other Big Sky teams. If ISU keep their heads in the game they should take at least two out of the three. That would mean they go 7-1 (at worst) in the first half.

I think everyone would be happy with that. It would also set them up for a big homestand against three teams including Montana State and Montana that are breathing down their necks.

It will be interesting the next few days.
