Utah State

Im excited for the game. Its the home game I look forward to most and its only once every 24 months. I've never really cared for the ute game and byu is fun but vs usu is the best one on our schedule. Part of the excitement is how well usu fans/students travel down to ogden. I've nevr seen a byu student in ogden but maybe they aren't allowed to leave since the games go past 8pm.

Its finally here, our first home game. I think its funny that the Utah PUKES have already have 5 home games against teams my church ball team could probably beat. Dang I really hate that they can get away with that. Anyway, on to the important game tomorrow night. USU is better than I thought they would be this early in the season. I'm going to be honest and say its going to be a very tough game to win tomorrow night. I hope lots of Weber fans show up because I can bet that the Aggies are going to bring a big group to the game. I will be sick to my stomach if there are equal or more Aggies then Weber fans there tomorrow night. I still like our chances. I think we match up well with them. The 2 main areas of concern for me are at Center because Hajek is out and Tres hurt his ankle against CSU. Not sure if that will affect him or not. The other concern is depth. USU is very deep. They play 10 solid players. So far I have not been impressed with our bench, but playing at home should help. Either way it will be an exciting game. Here is how I see us matching up against the AGGIES.

PG. Senglin vs. Roland Advantage EVEN
I like Senglin better because I'm a Weber fan, but Roland is a Senior and a solid player so I'm going with even here.

SG Richardson vs. Medlin Advantage AGGEIS
I wish this was not the case, but Medlin is dang good even though I think he is a Punk A$$. I hope Richardson gets out of his slump this game because we need him.

SF Berry vs. Butterfield Advantage Wildcats.
I'm sure USU fans going to get mad at this pick but Berry is just over all better in all areas. I think he has a big game for us.

PF. Bolomboy vs. Davis. Advantage Wildcats
Davis looks like he has been a pleasant surprise for the Aggies, but no way he is better then Joel. I predict Joel has a big game.

Center. Tres vs. Shaw Advantage EVEN
Aggie fans will debate this, but this is too close to call for me. Both very good players. Will be a good matchup.

Bench. Advantage AGGIES
I thought we would have a good bench, but so far we don't. USU's is actually pretty solid.

I predict a very close hard fought game. I think we rebound and win a close game. 78-74 WEBER

I can't believe that nobody has started talking about the game. I can't wait for it.

Where ya been Kyle there's a 2 page thread titled "Dairy Yewts Nov 26." that catcat mod the lamest of all mods moved, its a few topics down, but won't be bumped because dikweed moved it to smack talk because he's a closet Aggie & he married an Aggie .. & doesn't like the term DAIRY YEWT Blah blah blah. Seriously catnob you idiot any thread that gets discussion you find a way to F it

ATTN: catcat most Weber fans hate USU & that's okay.

I bleed purple and love to beat the Aggies, but I sure have a lot of respect for their program, coach and school. They, like us, have a great basketball tradition, they have worked hard to get to where they are, and they were the first ones to recognize and play Weber State. This year's Aggie team may be the best they've had in 20 years. It's going to be a battle. We can win this thing and to do it our youngsters are going to learn how to fight for everything and not expect anything to be handed to them. :coffee:

Sent it off where?

You & AJ are the only jackasses on this board

CatCat your moderating is a joke. Who are you to determine what should stay and be sent off of the board?

If it does not violate posting policies, you shouldn't touch it. It is called free speech and it is protected by this little document called the constitution.

i was assigned to be the board admin by FanPlay, thats why. that and flawed personal opinion and poor judgement. but your complaints aren't just from edits i have made. we have 2-3 of the mods that are fairly active making changes. please feel free to complain about me to FanPlay i would be more than happy to let you take over the gig since it don't pay.

oh i guess i should notify you this board hasn't really ever had free speech then. :bad:  :shocking: :yikes:

if people (forum members, weber employees, admins, coaches...etc) complain via email and PM's (which happens) we resolve the issue and dont really care if the poster is mad. oh and maybe put a heavy emphasis on those listed after forum members. as for usu they actually get on here and post so its good to send off certain threads to the sand box since the arguing and name calling is annoying. :coffee: :twocents:

pm me to become a mod unless you are interested in applying to be the admin.

I agree. It seems like the Aggs came in under the radar this year. If Weber doesn't shoot well they'll be in for a long night.

I'm not sure what to expect attendance-wise for Weber. I'm sure USU will be well represented as usual, especially with the strong start they're off to. Historically, weeknights don't bode especially well for Weber fans and the student numbers are usually nothing short of pathetic. The 0-2 start certainly doesn't help either. Does anyone think there is a crossover effect on bball attendance from a poor football showing?

That I recall, I haven't heard how bad Tres' ankle was and if he's still hurt or back to full strength. ???

You forgot Coaching. ???

Looks like Richardson will start at the point and Senglin will start at the 2.

True freshman Jeremy Senglin, who has averaged 14.0 points per game while starting the first two games at point guard, will trade places with senior Jordan Richardson, who will run the point while Senglin starts at shooting guard.

Richardson starting at the PG and Senglin at the SG, to me, seems like a really good change. Jordan hasn't looked comfortable in the slightest in the games he has played the SG. My only concern is that we might see Senglin play over 30min tonight at either the SG and the PG sports, because we really don't have anyone who can backup Richardson other than Senglin. Possibly Barry?? Royce and Gittens are primarily 2/3's. Kinda limits us. Would be nice to have another PG option on the roster right now.

Tal your concern is already a reality. Senglin is averaging 31 minutes per game. I think both players are more effective with the ball in their hands. So we might see JRich have a better game and Senglin struggle. Defensively it may help us to make the switch. I am still a fan of moving JRich to lead the second unit.

Who would be the starting 2 if JRich was leading the second unit? Royce? Gittens? Or move Barry to the 2 and have Hill start at the 3? Not a bad idea. I just don't think it is a pragmatic approach with the experience Richardson brings to the court and his keen acumen for running the team. DAMN GELAUN AND HIS SELFISH WAYS!!

I will say this...I'm thinking we might see Senglin go off tonight, and you are right, playing 30+ isn't an issue for him. What is nice is that Senglin is quicker than Medlin and he has already faced the best 1/2 combination in the state when the Cats played BYU; Carlino and Haws. Once the issues are worked out...I'm feeling that Richardson and Senglin could be a very dangerous duo.

Vegas has this game at -1 for Utah State. This is a huge game for Weber State I think. If we can win this game I think we only lose one more game this pre-season which would give us just 3 loses to three pretty good teams going into conference play.

I don't think we'll see Senglin struggle. He's that good. Why Rich was ever put at the 2 is beyond me.
