Utah Utes Future B-BALL Schedules..

It appears that the Utes and Aggies will be renewing their home and home contract. It says that the series between the Utes and Wildcats won't continue unless the WSU is willing to have "most the games in SLC." What crap is this...!?! I know catcat just want to cut them off, and I think that we should. What do you think.. I really don't see right now a bigger difference between the Utes from the might pac-12 going to the WAC to play versus the Big Sky... This makes my blood boil.... :stir:        UTES; GROW A PAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, they admitted that their season average was paid tickets sold. Not actual attendance numbers... Lowest since 1969? I think they realistically averaged 1,500 in actual attendance....

they are lying. as far as i have heard weber still wants to play utah even if only in slc because its close by, potential money game, no travel. utah doesnt want to play us for a while because they just do not want to lose to us.

I believe it is in the best interest of WSU and UU to foster a working relationship. For the next few years they should probably schedule as many patseys as they can. Wins are going to be hard to come by for our friends down south. If Larry wants to keep his job he better get on the phone with Cardinal Stirtch or who ever it is that Majerous used to play. After four or five years, if he can build it up to 12 or 15 wins, call us and we will play them again. There is no reason for us to want to embarass them. They are an awfully proud lot, them utes. :twocents:

Unless they are willing to do a home and home every other year thing.........I say SCREW EM

Weber should say no to this, if you dont want to be treated like a small guy dont act like one. stand up to the bully and say no unless its an every other year series, if that means ending the series permanently so be it.

Screw you SPEWTAH :finger:

Enjoy your 19 home games

The PAC-12 has how many 20 win teams this season and they all play between 17 and 19 home games every year? YIKES!! That is the definition of pathetic. This is whats wrong with the NCAA. It allows teams in supposedly superior conferences (even though we all know that the WCC and MW are both better basketball conferences than the mighty PAC-12) to sit at home throughout the preseason never having to face teams on the road. The NCAA needs to combat this issue. Teams should be required to play so many road games during its OOC schedule. My biggest concern about only playing the pukes in SLC is that the games are never reffed evenly. The last three times Weber has played in Salt Lake the Cats were bent over and screwed by the Zebras (after Casas' screw job our Cats were walking bow legged for the rest of the year and got it again playing Oregon in the CBI). I'd rather see the Cats play a bunch of tournaments then travel to "Superior" teams floors.

If Weber is to play Utah ever again then there has got to be some semblance of equanimity involved; Refs that won't let Utah live at the free throw line, a 2 for 1 or a home and home deal, or a shiz load of cash 150K at least to have the Cats visit. I would say that the contract would call for fair refs, 2 for 1, and cash, but thats my opinion.

With the added in-conference games next year, and if other BSC do not step up their rankings/RPI, it will hurt all teams for post-season. If the mUtes do not want to travel 30 minutes to Ogden, that is their loss; Weber should not appear like the eager little brother, hoping to get a game. Find other (better) out of conference opponents that can bring $$ and prestige to the program and would be willing to travel to Ogden for a game, even if we have to go to their home twice for every Ogden visit.

It is easy to get to SLC for the game, but Weber has not been treated well in the past.

And yes Tal, Casas was on duty the last time Weber played in SLC, and the Free throw count was 45 for the Utes, 30 for Weber....

+1!!!!!!

Never play them again until they come to Ogden! It is working for USU, they told Utah to piss off and after 1 year of no games Utah is agreeing to come to Logan.

I certainly wish we could just keep the home and home going, but even if we can't i'd like to keep the series going, even if most the games are in SLC. Benefits are 1-close game 2-money game 3-likely televised depending on the pac 12 t.v. contracts 4-we can beat them and improve RPI (in years that they are actually at least an average pac 12 team) and 5-Beating them in SLC is awesome when it actually hapens --too bad we didn't have them there this year.
