I just saw the schedule for the UTES and I almost died laughing at how pathetic it is. They only play one OOC road game in pre season. Boise State. REALLY!!!!!!! I have never seen a more lame schedule is all my life of following college basketball. The Mighty Utes are in the Pac 12 and this is what they schedule? Their hardest non conference game is BYU. I hope they lose every game in conference. I have no respect for them at all. Jordan Loveridge is probably regretting going there after seeing this garbage schedule. I am glad I am not a Ute fan, because I would be embarrassed. The fact that the UTES wont play Weber State, USU, UVU or SUU is a joke. They deserve to be the laughing stock of the Pac 12. Does anyone know if the utes have a basketball forum? I want to get on there and see if there fans are upset at this pathetic schedule. Or maybe they have also given up on the basketball program, obviously the athletic dept and school itself has.
 
There has been talk of legislating this away. They should have to visit each instate D1 school at least once every 4 years. I hope something happens, I'm sure USU is fairly upset as well.
 
It's not a horrible schedule. However, it does look like they have purchased themselves at least 10 wins. They have the money for it and coach K needs the wins to keep his job. They will win some in the PAC12. The PAC12 sucks just as much as they do. All of those mighty schools purchase as many wins as they can to make their records look good. That is why this whole 'Strength of Schedule' thing is such BS. A high percentage of PAC12 teams will wind up with 20+ wins. The selection committee looks at that and declares them to be a strong conference and because they play each other their 'Strength of Schedule' looks good, but half of their wins were purchased. That is why I think no conference should ever get more than 4 into the dance. :wall:

The NCAA really needs to get a handle on all of this. :twocents:
 
I heard that Utah and Utah State are forced by the state to have to play each other in football every year, I think there should be a 4 team Utah law that says Weber, BYU, USU and Utah all have to play each other in hoops every year, on an alternating H@H schedule.

This not playing old rivals thing is cowardly and Utah's true colors are showing.
 
I wonder if they would go 10-2 with that ooc schedule but I remember they lost at home to sac last yr. If you lose no ooc should u automatically be in the top 25?

I would rather not rip the utes...but...they won't play us anymore after playing us every yr for almost 40 yrs so they do bug me.
