Utes have 13 games on ESPN in 14-15

It is really a bummer that we are not on that schedule this year. They are really going to get some exposure this season, with every one of their games on national TV. I wish we could at least get some local sports coverage.

...and even some roadies, or at least neutral site games. Here's to hopin' they get spanked on national TV, and frequently.

I have heard Weber is very difficult to work with and that is why the local stations stay away. Anyone know if there is any truth to that rumor?

It's all about the level of play, fellas. Everybody knows Weber is a big deal in the Big Sky -- but the Big Sky hasn't won an NCAA tournament game since 2006, or an NIT game since 2002. If you're in the PAC12, you're on TV. If you're in the Big Sky, you're an after-thought.

How are so many WCC and Big West games on, but the Big Sky can't get a deal with ESPN for a few big games?

Good question. Possible answers: 1) Because there are more television sets in California than all the Big Sky market combined; 2) The Big Sky's conference RPI is one of the lowest in the nation; 3) Those leagues were more aggressive in marketing to ESPN, while the Big Sky has cast its lot with Root Sports. :twocents:

Utes will play N Dakota but won't bring Weber in.

Im hoping it's because Utah asked Weber and Weber said home and home or nothing.

But I also know Krysko hates Weber and even after thier 30 point beatdown said he wouldnt care to play Weber again.

Utah will never play in Ogden again, so just get used to it. And they won't ever play in Orem or Cedar. And I get it. But it's BS that they don't bring instate schools in instead of teams like N Dakota, UC Riverside, and S Dakota St.

You're forgetting the purpose of "money games" -- to buy a game you are reasonably sure you will win. Weber typically presents a team that might have a 20 percent chance of getting hot and beating Utah. No point in taking that risk if you are Krysko.

Yep, long live the culture of exclusion and inequality, something other aspects just wont be tolerated in this great country.

The chances of the Utes ever coming to Ogden again is pretty bad. I still think that the Cats could create some sort of deal where a game could eventually be played annually, but mostly at the Huntsman Center (a neutral site would be fine with me) with some sort of payout. I have hope that eventually something like that might happen, but with Larry running the show, the chances are slim.

No matter! Why should we care if the Utes are playing on TV or not? I could care less. I won't be watching any of their games. There was a time that I wanted to see each of the Utah schools do well. Now, I just like watching the Utes lose. Despicable and arrogant attitude is all the rest of the state has to stomach from the might Utes. Even though...I have to admit, as of right now, they are the top team in the state. Kinda hard for the Utes to fully prove that since they won't play anyone in the state and they can't claim they don't have space. Weber, UVU, USU, and SUU all have space and time available to play the "mighty" Utes.
