• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

UVSC Still Looking for a Conference

"UVSC already plays most of the teams in the conference on regular bases and even though the Wolverines don't have a football program, it could begin a Division II football program, which would make it more attractive to the Big Sky. "

Having a division II football team makes them more attractive for the BSC? No! UVSC has a tough road ahead, their recent status as a junior college hurts than the author is willing to admit.

It appears the article's author should have said I-AA football, not DII - in any case, the prospect of a provisional DI member finding the funds for a football team is far-fetched.

Talk of UVSC joining the WAC is interesting, but on the surface seems a stretch. What would be the WAC's incentive to add an upstart program, with whom it'll have to share resources, be a recruiting competitor, etc.? This is similar to folks at Seattle U (current DII, recently preemptively shunned by WCC) saying the WAC is interested in the Redhawks joining - what?!
