Here is an article about two Vegas guys choosing EWU. Sorry if it has been posted before. I coach middle school basketball here and several of my players know them. Hopefully they can contribute.

Yes the link was posted in the recruiting thread. Seems like Hayford is recruiting heavily in the Vegas area. Class of '15 they are already looking at 2 more kids from Vegas. Former Swoop, make sure you are wearing your EWU gear and spread the brand. :thumb:

Sylvergunsuperman,
We have "Sir Washington" from Vegas is a Prop 48 right now. Remember meeting him earlier. Seems like a pleasant individual. Had a player from California that went someplace else last year, his name I do not recall. He was in the stands, even President "A" went and introduced himself to him. He knew one of our former Players. All he wanted do was shoot 3 pointers, and he wasn't cleared for that. :lol: Vic Wallace

To All,
Spoke to an individual in the know for Gateway Project last night at the MBB Game, he told me that the Gateway Project is "Full Speed Ahead", and for us not to worry. Sept 9, will be my 80 BD, can't wait much longer, these old bones are not what they used to be ;) .That was very great news. Vic Wallace

To All,
Spoke to a Coach last night at the MBB Game, he said we are supposed to have 16 Recruits visiting this weekend. Hope to see some of them if they come to the game. Lets hope all this snow doesn't screw up their visit. BTW Feb 1st tomorrow, I will be retired from the U.S. Air Force 40 years, that is something I am very proud of. Growing up in Saint Thomas Virgin Islands, never taught I could have done that, my late Mom and Dad got me very much in the mood to complete my Military Career, thanks to both of them for the way I was taken care of as a young male. My buddy that served with me at Fairchild always tell me "Uncle Sam Hates us. When I asked him "WHY?, he would chuckle and say, because we would not die. With the economy they way it is, we need every penny to survive on. So much for Recruits. Vic Wallace

To All,
I taught I was up on a lot of what is going on in Football, found out last night I am still a little behind. Found out that one of our Recruits last year from Hanford High had left the team. Coach stated their was nothing with the team or Players, he just wasn't into football. DL Joe Douglas. That was a surprise when I heard that. I know each year we loses one or two, this one was a surprise, because as most of you know he was playing as a Freshman. We thank him for all he did while he played, now hope he is still in School getting his degree.

clawman,

Vic;
Thanks for noticing we have not been there. Seems like it is easy to find something better to do than get disappointed in Cheney.
We miss seeing you and the kids that sit in front of us more than watching this team.
Looking forward to Wednesday. See you and Chris there.

Vic, we're headed for another day of swimming tomorrow on Culebra's Flamenco Beach. Your boyhood home is just a stone's throw away. What were you thinking leaving all those years ago?

93Bird,
I left the Islands to visit my aunt living in Miami, Florida. Got there in Opa-Locka, where they had the US Marines Base, found out I was no longer in the Islands. I am the type of person don't like anyone telling me who I can and cannot associate with, where I can and cannot go, joined the Air Force, and was fortunate to have done 20+ years, of which I am very much proud to have serve my country. I can give you all type of stories in my little life, once I came to the US on May 1st, 1953, Jan 6th 1954 I was in the Military.

I always said, if I can put 20 years in the Military, anyone can ;) ;) ;)1954 I have some vivid experiences in Basic Training, at Lack land Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX,, then after 9 months in Basic Training, left to Keesler Air Force Base, Airborne Radio Operator School, Biloxi, Mississippi. Rough days, but I survived. Vic Wallace
