Vikings land Michael Wightman

Portland State Coach Jerry Glanville has signed defensive back Michael Wightman to an aid agreement for the 2007-08 academic year. The signing is not a binding agreement as it came after the national letter of intent signing period.

Wightman is a six-foot, 200-pound defensive back from Alvin (TX) High School. He was selected All-District and All-County and named his team's Most Valuable Player. Wightman had 95 tackles as a senior. He also lettered in track, where he was a state finalist in the 100 meters (10.5
