Dominic Waters: "We won't lose any more. Not any games. The rest of the season, we will not lose again."

http://www.oregonlive.com/vikings/index.ssf/2009/01/vikings_win_at_home.html

"Waters was adamant that what happened was out of character, and he practically guaranteed that the Vikings would earn a split in their rematch with the Wildcats on Feb.14 in Ogden, Utah.

"I told them, we're going to be ready when we go up there and we will win when we go up there," Waters said. "We won't lose any more. Not any games. The rest of the season, we will not lose again."

LOL!!

Ok Tim Teebow!

Waters had better odds winning in Logan when he played for Hawai'i than PSU winning at Weber State.

PSU is 1-14 in Ogden, I don't think he knows that...

On the positive side though PSU is 1-3 since 2006 in Ogden! That's a lot better than the previous 0-11.

As for what happened was out of character? Please, they beat NAU in 4 overtimes...the Vikings aint the 2003 WSU Wildcats...not even close.

Rahe is 5-1 vs Bone

In the history of the Big Sky there have been 12 seasons in the 16 game format, the 40 other seasons were all 14 games and a few in the 60's were even less.

Of the 12 seasons with 16 games no team has ever gone 16-0 or even 15-1.

From DJStryde:

Rules of Life, Chapter 18, Section 8(b), bylaw 3.4

Individuals who participate in basketball for an institution that has not progressed beyond opening games in the NCAA tournament shall not:
1. Guarantee attributes of future performance
2. Have their spirit gone, yet be so happy
They can, however:
1. Work hard and attempt to win, and enjoy success if it happens.

Waters, who the hell is that, some big shot that comes from a big school to small portland state. this is the big sky where year in and year out the champion has to go through Ogden Utah to be able to win the championship. so I say make this predicition in a few years when you know what it is like to play in the DEE!!!!

Yes, he came from Hawai'i! Has Hawai'i had a good team or been in the NCAA Tourney in the last 20 years? They do after all have Larry Farmer as an assistant. That alone tells you they are a joke! LOL

Larry LOOL Farmer!

I wonder how those words taste to Mr. Waters right about now?

I'm sure after that MSU game yesterday he will be shutting his mouth. How is it that MSU is beating good teams with their record?

Maybe Waters meant they would not lose another game out of their next 3 games which they did win though 2 were at home.

I can think of 2 reasons not to guarantee you will win all your games...ISU/WSU road trip and the Montanas road trip.

Most teams make those trips and rarely sweep either.

At least he's not playing for Hawaii anymore, they always suck, 2-7 right now.

PSU is 3-1 at home and 3-2 on the road.

Remaining Schedule:

Feb 5 Northern Arizona* Portland, OR 8:05 PM
Feb 8 Sacramento State* Portland, OR 2:05 PM
Feb 12 @ Idaho State* Pocatello, ID 7:05 PM
Feb 14 @ Weber State* Ogden, UT 7:05 PM

Feb 19 Northern Colorado* Portland, OR 8:05 PM
Feb 21 ESPN Bracketbuster Portland, OR TBA
Feb 25 Montana State* Portland, OR 8:05 PM
Feb 28 @ Eastern Washington* Cheney, WA 8:05 PM

And they lose again, at Idaho State. I wonder what Mr. Waters will have to say after this one. Saturday is a great opportunity to CRUSH the Vikings, to show them (and the rest of the league) what a real crowd is, and to push them further down the standings. Might the mighty Vikings be in danger of losing the chance to host a tourney game?

Portland State was so concerned about winning in Ogden, that they forgot about everyone else in the conference.

Well... For hell sakes!   I'll be "Gary Coleman." This will be a... a Valentines day of... History... "Water sucks... It really, really sucks." "GATORADE! GATORADE!"

Throw in the sweep by the Wildcats and it's 5-5 vor the Vikes.

Guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee … guar-an-tee!

Classic!

Now Waters, go back and rethink any guarantees you have made. they are stupid just like you. by they way I hope realize that your team has lost four games since that stupid statement. One more thing, pull your head out and smell the roses, Portland State sucks and you should have stayed in Hawaii where you could actually win, oh wait, Weber's worst coach was your coach, Lol Farmer.
