volleyball vs MSU

We took care of MSU tonight, 3-1. It was a little tighter than expected - MSU put in 16 service aces! After working through UM last night, one of the better teams in the conference, I'm not surprised we would slack off a little. In the end our two promising freshmen totaled 20 kills, paralleled by the two seniors Phillips and Zielke at 22. A nice balance, and promising for next year. Esapecially nice is freshman Mitchell's .538 hitting percentage. She places the hits carefully, like Zielke. Patton, the other freshman, hits around .150-.200, like Phillips (but Phillips has her .350 nights). Three games on the road now, culminating at Northern Colorado. We'll have to win that match. It certainly won't be easy.

Decent game tonight. Not the best, but a W is a W. Patton can have awesome kills but is definitely inconsistent.

PS. Picking on the other team can be fun sometimes :)
