Volleyball vs. Oregon

Tough loss. We lost the first match 15-25, then came back to win the next two before Oregon took the fourth 15-25 again. Lost the final match 13-15. We put up a good fight though!

Both Oregon and Oregon State are "gettable" wins for Portland State. The Lady Vikings are approaching parity with our Pac-10 cousins in volleyball. The remaining element to overcome is to let OSU and UO taste defeat at the hands of the Lady Viks and see that it is not so bad.

Yes, it was a close match; PSU nearly pulled it off. Question: Why didn't Kristinikova play? Looks from the stats as if we switched to a 5-1 set up from 6-2. Patton didn't play either. But Elllis was spectacular! And Phillips did her usual thing, with 26 kills. Game four seems to be our nemesis; we drop down below 100 percent hitting too often. What is it about game four? Tired? Oregon could and did substitute more - has to do with more scholarships? We're going to be in good shape for conference.
