Another let-down in the second half, another loss. Kirk Earlywine... wash, rinse, repeat. Anyone for another year of this character?
I'm not the kind of guy who likes to shout "fire the coach," but come on, we've proven that even a halfway decent coach can do a lot better than this in Cheney. Earlywine is looking only slightly better than John Wade at this point.
I still say it's time to drop b-ball and implement an intercollegiate hockey team. With so few teams in competition (the closest would be UND and the Colorado teams) and an almost endless supply of talent from Western Canada, we could be a leigt national title team within a few seasons.
Seriously, you could field a team of second-tier kids just from the interior of BC and Alberta and be a Frozen Four team in the US. At present, those kids have very few options once they outgrow juniors.
