Pretty good looking schedule for the Lady Hornets. A couple early road trips to Utah State and a weekend trip to play the New Mexico’s; then everything else is at home or drivable until BSC play. A tournament at Cal, and UCLA in the Nest highlight the OOC games. 4 of 9 OOC games are at home (not including the tournament at Cal) which is a lot better than last season’s road warrior schedule. No ranked teams on the docket this time around.

Great to see UCLA coming to Hornet Gym this December. Sure the place will be packed with Bruin alum who live in Sacramento who rarely see a UCLA come to Sac State in any sport. And hope the Sac State fans will come out in mas for this one. Good to see a big name school come to our place.

And good to see a great non conference schedule again where Coach Bunky and his teams take on all comers to get ready for the Big Sky slate where the Hornets are contenders year after year now. Remember last year when the Hornets had a brutal non conference schedule and went like 2-9 and then rolled in the Big Sky , finished in 2nd place and missed the Big Sky Tourney championship game by a basket. And then went on to the WNIT sweet 16.

Go Sac State

Stingers Up!!

thanks for merging SD.

Think our women's basketball program has become a premiere program on campus over the past several years and was maybe just a bit over shadowed by the success of the men's basketball program with all of the sell outs and such. . But maybe not. Was surprised last year that the women never sold out Hornet Gym despite being the best team in Div I history. And we love this as an issue. Expect the Hornets to come out yet again and break all sorts of records as they score, score and score. They are so fun to watch. And expect them year after year to contend for the Big Sky title no matter what the predictions might be. everyone in the big Sky knows they are in for a huge fight against the Sac State women's basketball team. Fun to look at the Big Sky fan boards and see the respect the Hornet women receive. A win over Sac State has become a huge win in the Big Sky.

Nice 15 point win over Davis today at Davis by the Hornets.

The 2-5 Hornets have played a tough non conference schedule again mostly on the road.

Some games now for Sac State at home including next Friday hosting #20 UCLA.

Hope to see Hornet Gym sold out on Friday against #19 UCLA.

Perhaps the greatest opponent to ever come to Hornet Gym in school history.

Go Hornets and beat UCLA!!!

Have no doubt that the Hornets can win.

Always expect the Hornets to win every game.

hornets go down big to the Bruins.

Bummer.

Two games at home and two losses so far this season.

Things will turn around soon for this team that has won 24 games over the past few seasons and only 7 losses.

Nice to see some added signage to the very bland Hornet Gym as there has been a banner or a good paint job added just this week with the Home of the Hornets above the seats. A nice addition over the very boring signage of our Big Sky opponents which assume no one cares about gracing the bland walls of Hornet Gym for years.

And nice to be watching the CA high school football championships at Hornet Stadium last night and today.

Trust the Hornets will bounce back big time tomorrow against the University of Hawaii as the first basketball game during the long 5 week winter break on campus.

Go Sac State.

Congrats to the hornets for their first win at Hornet Gym and many more to come this season.

126 points breaks the school record and the Big Sky record.

Always nice to see the Hornets win another game against a Big West opponent. The UC Irvine team was
dominated by our excellent Sac State team which had lost by one point to USF and by two points at home to Hawaii.

Was just a matter of time until the Hornets got it all together and defended the home court as they have done so well over the past many years.

Best of luck at Cal Poly on the road next week and then take care of business in the Big Sky as the Hornets have done for years following a big time non conference schedule.

132 points!!!!!

Our Sac State Hornets out do themselves yet again in setting the school and Big Sky record for points over Portland State to begin Big Sky play at Hornet Gym.

Let's set some more records at home next weekend against the Montana schools. But just doing enough to win is OK as well.

Go Hornets!!

Congratulations to the Hornets for pulling out an overtime victory over the undefeated Griz of Montana today at Hornet Gym. Until recently Montana has dominated the Hornets and the Griz are the defending Big Sky champs. They already have 10 wins this season and today was the 5th win for the Hornets who always have a brutal pre conference schedule.

And great to see the Hornets come back after a heart braking 1 point loss to Montana State on Thursday after coming back from a big late game deficit to lead by two points against the Bobcats with time running out when MSU hit a 3 and the Hornets went down with only a few seconds left in the game

Best of luck to our 2-1 Hornets on the tough Big Sky road for the next three games.

Keep it up Sac State!!

Interesting to look at the Idaho State fan board and the comments about Sac State basketball. Lots of compliments and observations about our program. have not seen this type of interest on our own board about our Hornets. Assume this is common perhaps around the conference that fans are interested to see the Hornets come to their gyms and see how they stack up against the run and gun program that has made some big noise for several years around the Big Sky. Great that our program attracts such attention, respect and just common interest positive and otherwise.

Go Sac State!!

Nice first win ever by the Hornets in front of a crowd of over 900 at Idaho State in 20 trips. 3-1 and moving on to face Weber State tomorrow at 1 p.m. in Ogden.

Go Sac State!

Another historic win after a blow out at PSU, by the Hornets today, now being the school with the most made 3 pointers in Div I history, established today at the Vikes Gym.

Nice bounce back after a loss at Weber State where the Hornets came out very hot and melted down in the 2nd period and could not come back last Sat.

The 4-2 hornets return home to host EWU and Idaho..

Will be nice from this point on to have all the students back on campus for the spring semester after the long winter break. Hope the crowds start growing again at Hornet Gym on the Road to Reno.

Go Sac State !!

Congrats to the Hornets for winning two games last week against Weber State and ISU. A big win against Weber after a loss earlier in Ogden and the first sweep of Idaho State since joining the Big Sky. Hornets are 6-6 in the big Sky. Best of luck at EWU and Idaho on the road. Keep playing Hornet basketball and good things will happen.

Great to see the Hornets take down 2nd place EWU on the road last night with a 3 pointer going in with 1 left. Way to avenge a 17 point loss to EWU at Hornet Gym earlier this year. Now time to take down Idaho tomorrow afternoon. Idaho is also in 2nd place and beat our Hornets earlier in Sac. Way to go Hornets as the team improved to 7-6 in BSC and won their 10th game overall.

Hornets take down Southern Utah tonight in Cedar City and leave this town and school in the middle of no where to move on at 9-8 on the road to NAU to win another game hopefully before heading up the road to Reno to put it all on the court in Reno in a few days. Hornets can do it .
