WAC Invitation?

There is a lot of talk within the athletic department about a possible invitation from the WAC for all sports but football. This idea grew out of the WAC-BSC alliance talks.

The BSC is agreeable for PSU to be a football only member and of course we would save the WAC. Sac. St. is also being mentioned as a possible WAC all sports but football member.

Only problem is that the WAC is not really a step up outside of football, and we lose a lot of old rivalries, etc. But it's an interesting thought to be sure.

The WAC a few years ago would be a step up. For hoops, Utah State, Nevada, etc.

Who knows now.

The WAC will only have four teams, for sure, in 2013-14.

Idaho
New Mexico St.
Denver
Seattle

Boise St. is suppose to join the WAC for all sports but they've been trying to get into the Big West.

I like the idea of a rivalry with Seattle and New Mexico St. is usually good in basketball. Otherwise not a very good basketball conference.

Who else could the WAC invite that would be good in basketball?
