Walter Payton award?

East Coast Bias.

If Adams remains the starter and can continue to produce like what we saw Saturday, I'd be surprised if both he and Kauf weren't added to the list by the 2nd revision.

I saw they updated the Payton award watch list today and I couldn't believe that Kaufman isn't on the list?

Anyone else surprised by this? He has the stats. He plays for a top team in the country.

What gives?

Kaufman might be the top NFL prospect in the FCS, he should be on there. 4 straight 100 yard games. He is 2nd in the country for receiving yards per game in the FCS....definitely East Coast Bias...

I think a lot of people have forgotten about him because he red shirted last year.

That is my big fear, NFL takes Kaufman, bye bye Senior season.

He is an NFL talent and if he finishes the year like he started, I'm sure he will at least test the waters. Sending kids to the NFL is a good thing for our program and really helps with recruiting. It would suck to lose him next year, but ya can't blame him if he gets the opportunity, he shouldn't turn it down if he is going to be a decent round pick.

He'll be around for another year. He's a great NFL prospect, but he's not going to be an early round draft pick at this time. The NFL-speak has always been "don't come out unless you are in a position to be a top 3 draft pick and guaranteed a roster spot."
