Waters guarantees no more losses

Dominic Waters: "We won't lose any more. Not any games. The rest of the season, we will not lose again."

http://www.oregonlive.com/vikings/index.ssf/2009/01/vikings_win_at_home.html

"Waters was adamant that what happened was out of character, and he practically guaranteed that the Vikings would earn a split in their rematch with the Wildcats on Feb.14 in Ogden, Utah.

"I told them, we're going to be ready when we go up there and we will win when we go up there," Waters said. "We won't lose any more. Not any games. The rest of the season, we will not lose again."

Certainly, Mr. Tebow. Should have said that after Cal Poly and then lived up to it. If this team has proven anything, then that it is perfectly capable of winning against anyone, but also of losing to anyone.

Less talk, more practice. ;)

I second the motion. Leave the cheap talk to fans like us.

Finally, the rematch. I wonder if Mr. Waters would like to ammend his statement.

Yeah, that statement, much like our season, is becoming a joke.

BTW, love your signature.

I wouldn't say a joke, but it seems to be coming off of the rail. :-\

I have never seen this board be so dead. Has everybody just adopted a "wake me when we get to the counference tourny" mindset?

Well, if you don't have a ton of tradition and if you are located in a city with a lot of things to do, you have to earn your attention. I consider myself a dedicated Vikings fan, but I have better things to do than wasting my time watching bad hoops. I'm sure others feel the same way.

Quitting my ass. I'll still go to games. I just don't feel motivated to write a blog for a meaningless game. The conference tournament is the only thing that matters in this conference, so you at Weber are in the exact same boat whether you want to admit it or not. If you'd be happy with an NIT bid, good for you.

There is no such thing as meaningless, especially when your team is still fighting for a chance to host a first round game.

Its amazing how most of you are quiting on your team.

Quilting?

WILDCAT, nobody on this board is a bandwagoner, and most of us have been with the Vikings through many ups and downs. So please don't come here and judge people by a few (justified) disappointed remarks.

I thought about the bandwagon comment, too. PSU doesn't have that many fans, and the few of us who are out there are all on this board. To suggest that any of us could be bandwagon fans is pretty funny.

Things really aren't so different at Weber...

I love the die hards but I will take any bandwagoner I can get.

Wildcat, I'm not quiting on the team, just can't go to the games because I live in Texas. I may have missed the games against Rice and Baylor due to other commitments, but I was able to make the game against Texas Southern. I am a proud alum of Portland State, follow all the games and talk to highschool students in my area to try convince them that Portland State might be a good fit for them.
