"We are greedy"

Is the secret meaning that the team is hearing, "don't worry win or lose we have tourney locked up at home."

We have looked anything but greedy as a team. We just need to take care of business on Saturday. Please don't call it being greedy coach. We just need to play good team ball.

By this point in the season a team should never be committing 18 TOs.
And hopefully shooting better than 38% from the field....though night :ohno:

:agree: although I can understand a bad shooting night on the road more than 20 TOs/game fairly routinely. I don't know if Weber has a player capable of shooting a decent mid-range jumper % but I'd sure like to see it in the mix instead of the uber predictable inside struggles, outside struggles, and Gittens/Berry one-man drive and getting stuck or throwing up a difficult shot. I'm not saying Berry isn't talented and capable but it's difficult to rely on that strategy too much and lately it's been too much.

This team is not anywhere near a tough as they need to be. Every time i see them take a fade away hook shot or an off balance mid range jumper, it just makes me cringe.I would be telling them, dunks, open 3s, and foul shots, nothing else. I might accept a layup if it is right at the rim. The only hook shot I would allow would be right at the rim. If the big guys can't get to the rim, they should be passing it back out to an open shooter. likewise to the guards driving in. Right to the glass or pass it.

And, did you notice what defense got us back into that game? ZONE!!! and FULL COURT PRESS!!! What novel ideas. :thumb: :thumb:

i recall in 2007 we won the sky and hosted and our last reg season game was at sac and we lost and had 25 turnovers. we got it done in the conf tourney. maybe we can beat ewu and forget about the psu game.

And it shouldn't have been happening then either. This team needs to earn it and not luck into it. It's way too late in the season for nearly 20 TOs to be acceptable. Rebounds and TOs are a huge part of their ability to be successful. Out rebounding teams shows they're working hard, winning the TO battle shows their heads are in the game(you can thrown FT% in here as well). Both are part of good team play too. Seriously, this team needs to stop the predicable end of season collapse and take the next step.
