10-0 at home!
8 straight wins!
8 yrs in a row griz have lost in ogden (in regular season).
griz had only allowed 80 pts twice all yr, and one game was in OT.
only 4 turnovers!
18-22 freethrows. getting so many freebies sure does help every week.

Cherry had one steal to tie Weber State's Eddie Gill (1998-2000) for 12th place on the league's career list with 178

loves seeing weber with 28 in the paint to 16 for UM who has a 7 footer that thinks he is a 2. points off of turnovers, wsu 13, griz 5.

attendance: 7,236

lillard scored 21 pts, passing #4 all time Willie Sojourner's 1,563 points. Dame needs just 31 pts to pass up Boyette!!

we 6-0, griz 4-1

Not even a game. Lillard had another off night, but everyone else stepped up, especially the bench. Balanced effort and cool heads prevailed when Montana made a bit of a run in the second half. Great win! Did the student section decide to show up tonight?

MOOK :notworthy:

Boy Im glad he is back, he was our first half spark, really want to see K-Bull score though, I think everyone is just willing his shot to fall.

I thought the student section was great tonight. They were active and involved. Their numbers seem to be growing. Lets keep the momentum going!

Best 27 minutes of basketball I've seen from Weber this year, I think. Real nice to see Otis and Wheelwright contributing in the 1st half. Loved how the interior defense really picked it up after the first 3 minutes. With everyone back this is a real good team. But they do need to learn how to deal with zone presses better.
Over 7000 fans is nice, but I don't understand why it still isn't more. Undefeated at home this year; undefeated in conference; playing Montana for sole possession of 1st. Why weren't there 9000? Home watching T-bow throw incomplete passes? Or home watching the Jazz beat the nets?

The crowd was a little still until Mook brought the team and the Dee a ton of energy. It was so good to see our bench contributing in a big way -- and Wheelright did a great job too.

But my MVP goes to Mahoney. The guy was a wildman -- going after loose balls, rebounding, blocking for boards and he was a wall on defense.

As the late Brad Barton used to tell his teams -- work hard and fill a stat sheet. Mahoney had 9 rebounds, 8 points, 3 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal. Brad would have loved it and so did I!

So -- MAHONEY!

The more I think about this weeks games, the more I think we match up better with a team like the Griz than the Bobkitties. The teams that give us fits are the less disiplined and less predictable teams with smaller, more athletic bigs. When we can prepare for a structured, predictable attack, we do quite well. A team that relies on athleticism and scrambling offence and defense, can give us trouble. I think that it's a preparation thing. :coffee:

We should be throwing Skittles at him, not Marshawn Lynch. Feed the beast!!!

That was a great game! I thought it would be a much closer game. I believe it was one of the best games Weber has played so far this season.

It was sure nice to have Otis and Bullinger back. We're a much better and a very deep team with them in the lineup. The guys filled in admirably while they were gone but our size and depth was affected. Having those guys back on the bench makes our bench deep and dangerous.

Unless Weber slips up (I don't expect they will) between now and then that game in Missoula could be a fun one.
