The Montana Mint just published a 75 minute podcast going over the state of the Big Sky---completely worth the listen if you like it when someone gives Big Sky schools the ESPN treatment, available in the link below but also via iTunes and Spotify and the major podcast forums, just search "Montana Mint". Some points worth looking at:
-We go over the state of the Big Sky a little bit in terms of the frustration some fans have with the dynamic of schools like Montana, Montana State, Weber State, and Idaho giving real attempts to be strong in major sports while schools like NAU and Sacramento State and SUU might have an okay season once in a while but then return to their underwater ways
-If you want to just listen to the Weber State section, it's in the last 20 minutes of the podcast, but we go over the Montana-Weber State game. My overall takeaways are much more thorough, but a general view is both teams likely left that game thinking they did not give the other their best shot. Chapman can't be shooting half his shots from three vs. Montana, he has to use his athleticism to score in the paint and off the dribble, and it looks like Weber will have to double Akoh more than they did the next time they face each other.
-They follow the breakdown rankings I've linked to a few times, and if you like listening instead of reading, they give a relatively good primer for the rest of the league.
