Weber at Sac

The game will be my first trip to Sac State. I've seen Sac once when we went to the 2007 NCAA Tournament at Arco but we didn't have time to stop and see your school. Is the Hornets Nest on campus or far like the football stadium or was it the other way around?

This will be my 6th Big Sky school to see a game at, just 3 to go! Or should I say 7 more to go

I remember that 2007 NCAA Tournament game- it was Weber State against the Final Four machine UCLA Bruins, I was in the house that day for the Washington State and Oral Roberts game and Vanderbilt. I remember seeing the Wildcats at the early games though.

Both the Hornets Nest and Hornet Stadium are on the campus- the basketball gym being closer to the center of the campus and the football stadium being a short walk from where most students congregate. It's a fairly small gym, but every seat in the house is a great view and one is close to the action. I look forward to attending the game, let me know if you need any info about Sac!

This was a fun game to watch; lots of fast action. It looked like Weber was going to blow the Hornets out at the beginning of the 2nd half (I think they were up by as many as 15), but we fought back. Toles Bey hit some shots and others got going and we got it under ten and kept it there for several minutes. When Coach pulled N'Diaye and started pressing with under ten to go, we really got back in it and should've got it to overtime. We had several chances to cut it down two or three with 3 minutes or so to go, but we missed a bunch of free throws and tossed the ball away on potential breakaways after steals.

Duro and Sultan really gave it their all (as did the whole team) for their last game in the Hornets Nest. Weber plays a very calm style; they don't really get rattled; they seemed very disciplined. Our press kind of messed their rhythm up otherwise we could've gotten killed. One of the best games to watch all year; too bad we didn't get a better look on that last shot to tie it, but Weber played tough "D" those last 20 seconds and we had to throw up a prayer.

Weber had quite a few fans tonight and overall it was a pretty good crowd, but not nearly as many students showed up as they did last Thursday. Hope we play with this much effort and intensity at N. Colorado.

Great effort. From what I've seen I'd say this was one of Katz finest coaching jobs. The team came to play after Thursday night's disaster. Katz showed a lot of passion and the team show a lot of heart battling a real good Weber State team. It was a fun game to watch. Our guys did us proud.

Man every year it seems Weber has to really scratch and bite and fight extremely hard just to get out of the Hornets nest alive.

The Hornets always give Weber fits in the nest

I guess I was confusing your facilities with PSU. Sac had a good campus set up with everything easy to find. I've said this a number of times but Sac really needs a new facility and I hope it really happens one day. It was a fun game. We had a good section at the game. Basically all our fans were player families except for me n one local family that moved to Stockton recently.

We have 2 players from Oakland and one from Tracy.

I went and got my pic on the 50 yd line too. Hornet Stadium is a good FCS facility. I can't waitfor our game but too bad its not until 2012. The field was really nice I can't wait to see WSU's new turf this fall as long as it is not purple.

You might have seen me at the game. I was waivina WSU flag on a pole til the usher threated to confiscate it.

Was at the game. It was pretty exciting and there was a decent showing, too bad we lost.

Good luck the rest of the way Wildcats.

i was 'watching' via Live Stats, and had espn.com boxscore up. there was a lively conversation page at espn about the game, with a couple of hard-core gamblers adding their commentary with every Wildcat turnover, foul and/or missed shot. funny stuff.
