Weber basketball

O.k.,here we go with our annual Utah state game.I'll be there to check out the new cats, and root them on. I have that pit in my stomach though. Why? Coach Rahe starts in already about how difficult it will be to defend them, and all their awesome experience, and every other excuse he can think of should Weber lose tomorrow.I was vocal last year about a coaching change. It just seems that he never has his team prepared to win any non conference games.I truly hope that changes, starting tomorrow. The team has good talent this year, and Weber should have no business losing the game on their court.Coach Rahe makes Utah State the second coming of Golden State, and I'm getting that worried feeling again.Come on Cats, let's turn this thing around, and start winning some non conference games. The team looks loaded, with great experience coming back. Go Weber!

I agree with you about the excuses and how we approach things. Why did you create a new account? Why not post under the profile you were using last season?

It's one of my biggest knocks on Rahe, he gives the impression that Weber is outmatched OOC and doesn't really care if they lose. I keep hoping with usu specifically, that maybe with Stuff gone he'll feel like he can compete and really try to beat them but his style of coach speak sounds otherwise. Anyway, I really need a win tonight to make up for lasts years wasted support of blue bull basketball, to prove this team is improved and ready to compete for a BSC title (or playoff appearance-- oh, wait, never mind), and to get me fired up for this season.

Ugh...I didn't have that feeling until I read your post, but you are right. No matter, lets go Cats. This is a far more talented and experienced team than last year.

I do disagree with Rahe. Losing Collette hurts immediately. He was a major reason behind the Aggies resurgence in the second half last season against the Cats. He was a major part of their success and suddenly you lose your starting big. The MW FOTY and an all-conference player? TO me, that is a serious loss. He shot .60% from the field and was their top rebounder and steals guy. I'm pretty sure he is a loss for Duryea and the Aggies. Who replaces his stats and overall contributions?
