Towards the end Doug says weber could have a outside shot at a At large bid

i guess this is always possible. but it won't happen. it has never happened to a big sky team. would be crazy to see the griz get an at large this yr!

85 of 89 brackets in the bracket matrix have b.yu in the tournament. The WCC is definately getting 3 in this year. The PAC will send Cal, & then maybe Washington, & that's it.

i dont agree with bracket predictions nor do i think weber or griz would get a 15, i see a 12-14. afterall the committee has nothing to do with them. it will be fullerton and a group of people that will decide who gets in.

big sky will get 1 and wcc will get 1 or 2. but i also said the mwc would never get 4 and they did recently. :shocking:

i guess i should consider the scenario that portland wins the auto bid so then smc and zags get it. so i can see 3 happening i guess. i think that is how the mwc got 4 once. i dont think wcc has ever had more than 2 and i think they have only had 2 a few times, to my knowledge which could be off. also the sky has never had 2.

the title of this thread - "Weber has a outside shot of a At large bid" - i agree with this statement.

Had Weber not lost to ISU, then I would agree - they would have a chance at the at-large bid.
The committee looks at several factors including "bad losses" sorry but losing to ISU is considered a bad loss. WSU does not have enough "quality wins" to offset the bad loss. Had WSU beat yBu, SMU, or Cal, then they would be in as they would have a "quality win". Right now, WSU only has 2 wins against the RPI 100 (UM and UTA). They only way WSU goes dancing this year is to win the Big Sky tournament - end of discussion!

catcat the WCC will get 3 in. Period. You can say the WCC has never had 3, but this is the first year the zoobs are in WCC. Zags, Gaels, Zoobs. It's not even debatable. If zoobs lose 1st round then they might be on the bubble. If anyone was going to win the WCC besides those 3 it would be LMU then 4 are in.

Weber or griz will get a 12-14.

The only way Weber gets a possible look at an At-Large is if exactly what Gottlieb says, happens. Win tonight & Semis & lose a really tight one in the title game, like 2010. Chances of all that happening, slim.

Interesting.... I, too do not believe the BSC will get 2 teams in. The Big East I heard was getting 7,8, or9 teams in. WTF!? We control our own destiny as it should be. Skip as to the game with the Grizz....let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown!

St Mary's and Gonzaga are locks, BYU is still on the bubble but looks to be in unless they lose first round conf tourney. Pac 12 will be lucky to get 2 in, and Big Sky is a one bid league without question.

I agree Weber could be a bubble team if they win tonight. But, then the loss in the Championship game would knock us right back off any bubble talks. Big Sky is a one bid league this year, had we beat Idaho St so our only losses were BYU, St. Mary's, and Cal (all three have really chance of making the tourney) then a case could be made.

you could very well be right as i honestly do not follow the wcc or byu so i cant say they have no chance to get 3 in after all. i remmber being shocked to see 4 mwc teams in recently but i dont follow them either. i only follow big sky and nationally televised college basketball for the most part.
