Weber is the only team...

...I have ever seen in my many years of watching college hoops that gets called for a technical for hanging on the rim. I've seen worse affronts than ours yestersay and they never get called. But for reasons unknown we always seem to get called for it. I hate watching other teams do it and say in my head "If that was Weber it would have been a technical."

Am i the only one who notices this?

Nice dunk by Dima. The reason he got the "T" was because of the double pump on the rim--excessive celebration, no need to protect himself by hanging on the rim. Good win against a truly terrible basketball opponent and guys looked good.

Dee I noticed that the coach was highly complimentary of both Johnson and Fuller as he kind of announced that they would be redshirting after the game. Here's the quote from the Standard:

"Freshmen Spencer Johnson and Tim Fuller, who are coming off two-year missions, did not dress and plan to redshirt this season at their decision, Rahe said.

'Both of them are good enough to play right now for us ... but they’re probably still a couple months away from really getting their bodies back and their games back,” Rahe said. “The last thing I want to do with those two guys ... they’re both going to be really good players for us ... is I did not want to waste their year.'"

I figured as much since they were the only two who didn't get in the game last night. I can see where Fuller might have some hope with Braxton and Chapman both leaving at the end of the year, and no bigs currently signed for next year. But Johnson currently has five guards in front of him who all return, with more guards signed for next year. I'm no genius, but even I can see that's not a good sign for Johnson's chances.

Went to the game. It’s always fun to be at the Dee Events Center. Wish they could get in some higher caliber teams. It will be interesting to see how they progress. In the meantime, I am more invested in football right now...isn’t that great to say that?! Here’s hoping they can win in Pocatello. Go Wildcats!
