Wow what a game. Give credit to the team for fighting back. Panos was a beast tonight, if we can get this effort from him every night we are a tough team to beat. He was much more aggressive to the hoop, backed their big guy down closer to the basket. That is what I have been begging from our bigs, they are strong, and tonight played strong. Lillard was amazing, took the game over just at the right time. Sessions played tight defense, took the ball strong to the hole, (got swatted a few times). Great team win, keep it up!

"You wanna win games, you gotta keep fightin'. We don't give up, in practice we never give up, we fight through to the end of practice, and it paid off for us"

That's what I like to hear from our leader.

The 8 yr drought is over!!!!!!!

Panos!! 20 pts n 7 boards in 30 minutes with just 2 fouls, we need steve on the floor this long consistantly. I was impressed the way he played, he wanted that Ute win!

Those were the tallest mutants we will see this yr and we outrebounded them 32-29!
 
and turnovers was insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great win guys! We beat ucdavis-sucks! at their place last night in another rivalry game! Big Sky basketball is starting to look real good this year. Can't believe we jump ball on the conf. season this Sat. against you guys at our place. Look forward to a great game! Go Hornets!!

ya this is very odd we playing big sky ball this week but oh well...

good to see Sac is better this year! doesn't look like anyone is week this year. Its gonna be a tough year. Im predicting a year like 2004 repeat a lot of close teams and no guaranteed wins:

I was in class this morning, checking out the Deseret News while pretending to pay attention. At first, I didn't believe that Weber beat Utah, but the truth is finally sinking in. Sounded like a great game. I'm insanely jealous of anyone who was there to witness it. How dare you all.
 
GREAT game!!! It was also GREAT to see most of the football team there going crazy for the basketball team. I hope the football teams keeps coming out and keeps getting loud and crazy!! Hopefully our student section will continue to grow in size and in noise.
 
So, who in the he#@ lit the fire under Steve Panos? Where has this boy been the last couple of years?? If he would have played like that against BYU or USU, Weber would have won both of those games. Did the Utes piss him off or what? If anyone can shed some light on this, I would like to know. Also, If big Steve can play like that the rest of the year, watch out 'Sky!! :mrgreen:

On the post game show Lillard said he pulled Panos aside after a practice and told him he needs more out of him, he needed him to be tougher in the post. I don't know if that is the reason or not, just what Lillard said.
