Weber State already owns a share of the Big Sky regular season championship, but the loss leaves a slight opening for Montana to host the tournament -- only if the Wildcats lose their final two games on the road, the Grizzlies win their final three and get help from other teams.
WSU plays its final two regular-season Big Sky games on the road next week at Portland State and Eastern Washington -- a win at either will clinch the tournament site no matter what anyone else in the league does.
