ISU's quest to find the right quarterback isn't unique. The Wildcats in Ogden are facing the same thing...

...WSU has yet to win and, following Saturday's 21-5 Big Sky Conference loss to Montana State under a constant rain at Stewart Stadium, finds itself in the midst of a full-blown quarterback controversy.

"I don't have the slightest idea," answered Weber State coach Ron McBride when asked who would start next week at No. 1 Montana.


By game's end, Brendon Doyle, who hadn't taken a snap in practice with the starting offense all week, made as strong a case as anyone to take the job.

The job is officially open.
