Weber State track star reaching significant goals

Weber State track star Amber Henry Shultz is going to run her last race prior to nationals this weekend. You might see her someday at the Olympics.

Standard-Examiner correspondent Dana Rimington has Amber's story, plus a video: http://www.standard.net/stories/2014/02/26/running-strong-weber-state-track-star-reaching-significant-goals" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here's what I wrote about Amber as a junior: http://www.standard.net/stories/2013/06/04/amber-henry-sets-her-sights-2016-olympics" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know this isn't a basketball story, but I figured most of the board members this time of year are on the basketball forum, so here you go.

And one more, from Jim Burton, after Amber raced in the NCAA championships with a dislocated elbow and became an All-America runner:

Roy, please try to insure accuracy in these articles.
Rimington writes in her story:
Schultz is set to run in the last event of her collegiate career with Weber State University this weekend at the Big Sky Conference in Pocatello, Idaho. She is favored to win in the mile and 3,000 meter steeplechase.

There is no 3000 meter steeplechase at the Big Sky indoor track championships. There is a 3000 meter race, but not a 3000 meter steeplechase.

But thanks for the articles on WSU runners and local high school runners.

Wait...doesn't she also have an outdoor season left??
She's already done 4 years of outdoor track. She had a medical redshirt for last year's indoor season.

Agreed. I love seeing features on WSU athletes, especially the non-traditional (football and men's hoops) ones. However, this is a poorly-written story, to put it nicely. :|
